Hot Weekend

It's been a fun weekend. As usual, I'm very busy. There is so much exploring to do! It's been very hot, and there was a big rain storm this morning.

On Friday night, mommy, daddy, and I went out to dinner. We went to a little pizza place that we can walk to. There were lots of other kids there - about 7 strollers were lined up outside when we parked mine.

Daddy went to Chicago on Saturday morning for another bachelor party, so mommy and I spent the day together. We went to the pool and played outside. The pool was really fun! Mommy couldn't take any pictures though, because she had to hold onto me.

This morning we played inside, and I practiced walking with my push toy. I also emptied out several kitchen drawers and cupboards. I'm very good at that!

Another fun weekend - life is good with me around!

First Pizza

Last Friday, mommy, daddy, and I met our friend, Kelly, for dinner. We went to Uccello's. That's daddy's favorite sports bar, and he had not been there since coming home. He was very excited.

They have very good pizza, so I got to try my first slice. It was pretty good after I peeled off all of the toppings. I did like the black olives, but daddy ate the other stuff for me.

Pictures from the Fourth of July

Here are some long overdue pictures of our week in Northern Michigan over the Fourth of July. I went swimming in the lake!!

Tuesday in July

Today was a good day, although it was very warm and humid. It started out with some rain, but that cleared up. I went to Mona's for the morning, and we went to visit the construction site near her house. I loved the trucks!! Mommy picked me up in the afternoon, and I was very sleepy in the car. I went straight to bed for a nap when we got home and slept for 2 1/2 hours. I've been taking some huge naps lately. Daddy thinks it's a growth spurt.

After dinner, mommy, daddy, dakota, and I walked to Jersey Junction for my first ice cream. I was not impressed. The blueberries I ate for dessert at home were much more to my liking. I was mostly interested in grabbing the bowl of ice cream out of daddy's hand and dumping it upside down.

I had kind of a hard time falling asleep tonight - mommy thinks it's because I have a new trick of throwing all of my bears over the crib railing; then I'm lonely for them, but I can't reach them. It's a pretty fun trick, but after they're gone, I have no one to talk to or cuddle with. Maybe tomorrow night, I'll throw everyone but sleepy bear. We'll see. I have a new word (that makes two - the first one is mama). I say Baaaye. It means bye-bye, and I say it whenever I wave good-bye. So, baaaaye!

So tired....

During a recent car trip, in my new, forward-facing car seat, I was feeling pretty sleepy. So sleepy, in fact, that I nodded off while eating a rice cake.

New Swing!

Hi, daddy and mommy finally had the backyard landscaped, and I now have my own swing and my own sandbox. So far, I am enjoying it.

Christening

On June 18th, I was christened in the Northport Point chapel. It was a very nice celebration. Lots of my family came to see me. Grandpa Mike, Ems, Aunt Susan all traveled from very far away. Great Grandma Bev, Bob, Grandpa Chip, Stacie, G.G., Mouse, and Papa Jon all came too!!

Twelve Month Doctor Visit

The official measurements are in! I had my appointment with Dr. Bolan this morning. Daddy and mommy both went with me. I weigh 22 pounds, 8 ounces (50th percentile); I am 32 1/2 inches long (100th percentile); and my head is 49 1/2 cm (100th percentile). I am still the long, lean baby machine!!
