Thanksgiving Fun

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at the cottage with Mouse, Papa Jon, and G.G. It was very fun and relaxing. Lots of food, lots of football, and surprisingly great weather.

My favorite part of the big dinner was mommy's pumpkin cheesecake. Yum, yum. I stuffed my whole hand in my mouth trying to eat it. I also ate some turkey, tortilla chips, and black olives. What a meal!

On Thursday night, I was getting ready for bed by playing on my trike (doesn't everyone do that?), and I fell over the handlebars. My first big owie! I split my lip open and blood was everywhere. Daddy said I didn't need stitches though. I just got cleaned up and calmed down enough to go to sleep - quite a bit longer than a usual night. It looks fine now, though - no lasting effect.

After dinner, I relaxed by doing a little reading.

This is the very cool doctor's bag of goodies from my godparents, Jason and Lisa. It was so nice of them to bring me a present. I love it!! Thank you!

Children's Museum

Mirror Fun

Reading

On Friday morning, when mommy and I were getting ready to leave, I climbed up into my rocking chair and enjoyed a couple of books.

I really love books. I love to read to myself, and I love to be read to. A couple of times a day, I sit down and enjoy a few quiet moments with my favorite books.

When it's time to go to bed, we get to read books together, and then I always take a book or two to my crib with me. I like to read in bed before I fall asleep. Daddy says I'm taking after mommy.

My New Favorite Spot

Here I am on the stairs. I love it here. Ever since I was 9 months old, I've liked the stairs. Our house has lots of them. But lately, I've discovered even more fun things about them.

I can stand at the top and throw a ball down. It bounces! I can sit at the bottom and use the first step as a table. I can sit on the bottom step and play catch with mommy or daddy. I can stand on the second step and play with the light switch. That makes daddy a little nervous - one time I fell and there was a big boom!

All in all, it's fun. I love to independently explore the whole house. I go everywhere, and I'm very busy and quick!
