Happy Birthday to Me!

What a great day! Daddy and mommy took the day off today, and so we had a family day. It was so much fun!! I woke up extra early - daddy said we had the earliest birthday celebration in history. The living room was decorated with streamers and balloons - it was "bootiful." I opened some presents from mommy and daddy, and we all played.

I got a train video, so we took a little break so that I could watch it. Addison took a monster nap. I had some oatmeal, and then the three of us went outside to enjoy the sunshine. Daddy and I walked to the track, and I played on the pole vault mat. Very cool. I got a scooter so we practiced riding it, and we brushed enough hair off of Dakota to make another dog.

After lunch, I was lounging on the couch and fell asleep. Daddy moved me to my room, and I took a nice, restful nap. I woke up so happy and raring to go. I played outside, and when Addie woke up from her afternoon nap, we took our first-ever family bike ride. I rode in the bike trailer on daddy's bike, and Addison rode in the seat on the back on mommy's bike. She liked it! And I loved my cozy little spot. I had some chips and juice and watched the scenery go by. We stopped at the playground, and we all ran around and enjoyed the swings and slides.

I got to choose what to have for dinner, and guess what? I wanted chicken and fries! We stopped for takeout in Gaslight Village, and I got to play in the fountain while we waited. More fun! We had dinner on the front porch, and I took the opportunity to run around in the yard a bit more. My goodness, I'm so busy! There is so much to do.

Addie was too tired to have cake, so after she went to bed, we had yummy train cake. It was really "coooo" (aka cool). Then I got to open more presents! What a great day!!!!

Sprinkler!!

I got early birthday presents from Grandpa Chip and Stacie. This is one of them. It's a beach ball sprinkler, and it's fun!

I wasn't so sure about it at first, but after a few runs around it, I decided I like it!

Early Celebration

Today, Grandpa Chip and Stacie came over to celebrate an early birthday with me. I am following the family's tradition of having a week or more of birthday celebrations - pretty cool!


I got a chocolate chip cookie cake. Mommy says my real birthday cake is coming on my real birthday. She's tricky like that.


Addison was pretty worn out by the whole thing. She's in her bathing suit. We both really like the pool.

Singin' in the Rain

This was Mother's Day. Not very nice weather, unfortunately, but mommy really wanted to do something fun outside. So we did. Addison rode in the Bjorn on mommy, and we all carried umbrellas.

You can see that it wasn't very warm - I'm wearing my winter coat!

New Bike

Santa brought me a new bike, but mommy and daddy saved it for me until the weather got nice. It's great. I can push it and ride it. And the seat is adjustable, so I'm even learning how to pedal.
