One Month Old

Addison went to see Dr. Bolan today for her one-month check-up. She weighs 10 pounds (50th percentile), and is 23 inches long (90th percentile). When I was a month old, I weighed 10 pounds, 14 ounces, but I was only 22 inches long. She's very tall!

Mommy just realized that she forgot to post my 2 year stats. Ooops! At my 2 year doctor visit on July 9th, I weighed 30 pounds (50th percentile), and I was 37.5 inches tall (100th percentile).

I Love My Addison

Yesterday when mommy picked me up from Mona's house, Mona, Ruby and Evelyn wanted to look at the baby. I told them she was "mine!" But then I let them look at her anyway and gave mommy a hug!

Fountain Fun

Picnic in the Park

We went on a fun picnic in the park by the lake while Ems was here. I rode in the red wagon with the food. At first, I was much more interested in running around than eating, but eventually I settled down.

Baseball Weekend

These pictures were all from the weekend that Ems arrived in Michigan, when Addison was less than a week old.

I really had a good time playing baseball. I'm very good.

Jack Loving Addison

These pictures are from August 12th. Mommy is trying to catch up with the blog, because there are lots and lots of cute pictures that we want to share.

This was the first little love that I gave Addison. I really like to hug her and kiss her. Sometimes I'm a little rough, but I'm learning. This morning, mommy and Addison dropped me off at Mona's house for some morning play time. I showed Mona how much I love my little sister - she was very impressed.


She is looking forward to taking care of both me and Addison, but for now, I'll just enjoy my Jack time with Mona.

Sleepy Baby

Cousin Ryan

Today we got to do something really neat! Mommy's cousin, Paul, was in town with his family unexpectedly. When mommy, Addison, and I took Ems to the airport this morning, Paul, Dana, and my cousin, Ryan, met us there.

It was really great to see them, and it took some of the sad away that I feeling about saying goodbye to Ems. Ryan and I played with the trains, and after Ems's plane took off, we went to brunch.
That was mommy's first outing by herself with both me and Addison. We did pretty well, I think, even though it was raining really hard every time we had to get in or out of the car. It was a true adventure!

Ryan and I had a BIG hug good-bye, and too bad no one caught it on camera. And Ems finally got back to Colorado after a cancelled flight yesterday. Even though it was too bad her flight was cancelled, we enjoyed an extra night with her last night.

Extra Night with Ems

Ems was supposed to go back to Colorado yesterday. Mommy took her to the airport and came home, and a few hours later, Ems called to tell us that her flight had never left Grand Rapids. There weren't any other flights for her! When I woke up from my nap, she was back!! I was so excited.

We played Thomas on the computer again, we did puzzles and read books. It was an extra special treat to have one more night with Ems!

Napping and Flip-flops

Well, not much going on here. Little sister is sleeping and eating, and I am trying on new shoes and playing with my train set. Life is good.
