Reading and more Reading!

We had quite a weekend around here. On Friday, Mona called mommy because I had a fever and didn't feel good. Mommy picked me up right away, and we went home and snuggled for a while. Then I took a long nap and felt a little better. But I woke up at 4am with a temperature of 103.5 - that is the highest fever I've ever had. I was so hot and miserable! Motrin made me feel better, plus a nice snuggle with mommy in my rocking chair.

On Saturday, I took three naps and did a little playing in between. My fever seemed to be over by dinner time, so I was feeling a lot better. Being outside in the fresh air felt good, so we all spent a lot of time in the sunshine. Daddy did a lot of work in the yard, too.

On Sunday, I was feeling pretty much back to normal. I read the paper with daddy. I had waffles for breakfast. I explored every drawer in the house. I went for a long walk with mommy and dakota.

I am really enjoying books right now. I love to be read to, but I also like to sit in the rocking chair and read to myself. Sometimes I take a book to bed with me and read a bit before falling asleep.

This is a big week! I'm glad that I'm feeling better. Mommy takes her board exam on Thursday and Friday in Chicago. She has to leave tomorrow afternoon, and daddy has to leave tomorrow morning. He has a meeting in Traverse City at the hospital and then he is going to the cottage for a wedding.

Mouse is coming to stay with me until mommy comes home Friday night. Then mommy, Mouse, Papa Jon, and I are all driving up to the cottage on Saturday morning. We are having an 80th birthday party for G.G. on Sunday. Wow! We're always so busy!

Oh, Sweetie! I'm so sorry you were feeling so yucky. But.........your mommy tells me that you're feeling much better now, so I'm happy once again!

A busy week ahead - for everyone! Have lots of fun with Mouse and G.G. and all your family. Oh, and please give your G.G. a big Birthday hug from me.

love you,
ems
