Today is my 5th Birthday!!!

And I'm pretty darn excited about it. Somehow five seems like a really important number. Mommy thought I was pretty cute this morning when I woke up. She said, "Happy Birthday, Jack!" and I said, "happy birthday too, Mommy!" She gave me a big hug and kiss AND a really neat t-shirt with a big 5 on it. I am wearing it today. Then when we were in the car, I asked her if I would still be five tomorrow. She said I would be five for a whole year. I think that's really neat.

I've decided to share my blog with mommy and my sisters. It's hard to keep up with everything on my own, so I'm going to let mommy write sometimes too. And she might help Addison and Eloise with their thoughts too. We'll let you know how it goes.

New Baby

On April 7th, we welcomed a new baby sister to our family. Eloise Sydney Behler was born at 5:10pm. She was 20 inches long and weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces. That is exactly how much I weighed when I was born, but I was a half inch longer. Addison weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Addison and I love her very much.

Halloween 2009

We had a great time trick or treating last night. I was going to be a monkey, but I was really not excited about it, so daddy had a great idea. I wore my scrubs and mommy's stethoscope. I even got extra candy because I met another Dr. Jack who was handing out candy.

Speaking of candy, I scored! I sprinted from house to house with daddy, while mommy and Addison trailed behind. Addison was super cute in her kitty costume, so she got lots of candy too. She never quite figured out when to say trick or treat though. She said it a lot while walking from house to house, but when faced with a real person at the door, she clammed up. She did manage to say "ya-yah" when people mentioned how cute she looked. And she meowed a couple of times.
